Pakistan Flood Relief Fundraiser
Please join us to support those affected in Pakistan by the devastating floods this year. Millions have been left homeless and vulnerable to hunger and illness due to the widespread loss of crops, livestock, vital health facilities and the threat of waterborne diseases.

To help us raise funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee Pakistan Floods Appeal, you are invited to a day full of treats in the serene surroundings of the Spanda Studio at Harbour House, Kingsbridge.

The schedule for the day is as follows:
9.45am - Arriving
10 to 10.30am - Settling and Opening Meditation:

A mindful moment of reflection to set our intentions for the day.
10.45 to 11.45am - Yoga :

Bring your own or enjoy a delicious bowl of vegan soup and bread for a donation on the day.

2 to 3.30pm - Auction of Local Art

Browse beautiful artworks by some very talented local artists who are donating their pieces for the auction. Bid for something for your own home or a gift for someone else (we are heading into gift buying season!)
Our auction is a silent auction, which just means you can bid anonymously on paper if you wish. You'll be given a bidding number when you come in.

The day will close with sweet treats and nibbles inspired by Pakistani puddings, prepared by some fabulous local chefs.

Click the link below to see all the art in our art auction. If you see something you like but can't make it on the day, please get in touch and we can organise remote bidding!

About the appeal:

Since June of this year, Pakistan has experienced extreme heavy rainfall as much as 5 times the 30 year average in the worst hit areas. The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has called it a "climate catastrophe" as flash floods have caused devastation across the country, submerging over one third of the country under water, destroying 2 million homes and leaving 6 million people in urgent need of help.

Huge areas of agricultural land have been affected with 3.6 million acres of crops swept away and 1 million livestock killed - resulting in many people going hungry in the longer term. There is also a high risk from water-borne diseases spreading in affected areas and many secondary health disasters.

The Disasters Emergency Committee is co-ordinating a response to provide funds to the aid agencies working in challenging conditions to meet people’s basic needs such as food, clean water and shelter.
