Clothes Swaps!
Declutter your wardrobe while saving items from landfill.
Clothes Swapping - or Swishing - is a brilliant way to save money AND the planet by swapping your unwanted clothes for something new to you.
At our clothes swaps, you are invited to bring between 1 and 5 items of clothing with you, in a decent wearable condition. The value of the clothing doesn't matter.
You can look through all the other items that have been donated and pick out items you like for free. The more people that attend, the more clothes are donated and therefore the more choice available.
We are aiming to begin with swapping seasonal clothing, like Halloween and Christmas outfits, as these often have the least amount of wear in our wardrobes, especially if they are for children that grow out of outfits so quickly!
Our clothes swaps are made possible with the support of Recycle Devon, who provide swishing kits to community groups like ours to help reduce waste.
Upcoming Swaps
Halloween Clothing Swap!
Sunday 16th October 2022
10am to 12pm
Kingsbridge Care Hub
(Age Concern Building, next to Quay House)
Clear out all your old Halloween costumes and accessories and swap for something new!
A great way to recycle old outfits and save money too. Costumes and accessories for all ages are welcome, from baby pumpkins to grown up werewolves, and everything in between.
Just as long as it’s Halloween costumes or fancy dress!
All funds raised will be given to Kingsbridge Food Bank and any items left will be donated to a local charity shop.
Huge thanks to Habit Clothing who have kindly agreed to be a drop off point for this event. You can find them at the bottom of Fore Street. Drop your items in and you'll receive a token for the number of items you donate, which will be redeemed on the day.
£2 entry for the clothes swap on the day (kids and extra family members come free)
